Seth P. Steifman represents a broad range of clients including numerous nationally recognized real estate developers, owners, asset managers, family offices and domestic and foreign high net worth individuals involved in all aspects of transactional real estate including acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing, with an emphasis on ownership and development of cooperative and condominium projects.
Mr. Steifman works closely with an experienced network of real estate brokers, bankers and mortgage brokers to structure and streamline transactions; always with the business-minded goal of improving efficiency and achieving common objectives. Mr. Steifman has broad experience with §1031 tax-deferred exchanges involving a variety of assets throughout the United States and negotiates all forms of real estate and development agreements, including, without limitation, AIA architect, construction, contractor and brokerage agreements.
Mr. Steifman frequently lectures to attorneys, bankers and brokers on such topics as contract negotiation strategy, attorney-broker-client relations, §1031 tax-deferred exchanges, with a focus on providing business-forward legal advice.
Prior to co-founding Federman Steifman LLP, Mr. Steifman served as General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Maxwell-Kates, Inc., a major real estate owner and management firm in New York City.
