Myron Cohen specializes in the area of real estate.
Mr. Cohen began his legal career in 1982 at Kelley Drye & Warren, LLP. During his career (including over 25 years at Dornbush Schaeffer Strongin & Venaglia LLP, where he was a partner in the firm’s real estate department) Mr. Cohen has advised clients in complex transactions involving some of the most iconic buildings in New York including, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, the Seagram’s Building, the Met Life Building and Madison Square Garden.
His practice includes advising clients and negotiating agreements related to commercial leasing (including ground leases and shopping center leases), acquisitions and sales of commercial and apartment buildings and development properties. His clients include hotel owners, developers, commercial condominium buildings (where he acts as general counsel to the Board of Managers), high profile restaurateurs, owners of closely held private companies and high net worth individuals. Mr. Cohen emphasizes a hands-on, practical, cost sensitive, responsive and caring approach to his clients.
Mr. Cohen is a 1982 graduate of John Marshall Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. Mr. Cohen also earned a Master of Public Administration Degree in 1976 from New York University and a BA in 1973 from Queens College, City University of New York.
