Maegan Lorentzen is Of Counsel at Federman Steifman LLP, where she focuses her practice on complex title, survey, and zoning matters in connection with real estate and development transactions nationwide. She regularly negotiates “pro-forma” and final title insurance policies and endorsements, finalizes surveys, and reviews zoning and environmental reports to identify and to mitigate risks for clients. Ms. Lorentzen regularly prepares title objection letters, escrow instruction letters, easements and leases She also routinely drafts, reviews and modifies declarations, covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs) and reciprocal easement agreements (REAs). Ms. Lorentzen has particular expertise managing the diligence process for large portfolio transactions involving properties across many states, as well as supporting mergers and acquisitions with comprehensive real estate due diligence in connection with the issuance of representation and warranty insurance.
Prior to joining Federman Steifman LLP, Ms. Lorentzen served as Underwriting Counsel to First American Title Insurance Co., the nation’s largest title insurance and settlement company, where she made underwriting determinations, conducted title examinations and coordinated escrow closings on commercial properties across all asset classes including retail, mixed-use, multi-family, hospitality, office and industrial properties.
